The Adventures of Freddy the Frog

Herpetology: A Musical Field Journal

The Adventures of FredDy the Frog

Let’s listen and follow along in your Musical Field Journal as Brandon Greathouse brings The Adventures of Fred the Frog to life — a graphic novel put to music that dives into the secret world of amphibians and the wild science of herpetology.

Through rhythm, story, and song, students journey alongside Fred as he navigates ponds, predators, metamorphosis, and the delicate ecosystems that sustain amphibian life. This immersive performance blends hip-hop, storytelling, eco-literacy, and visual art to illuminate the vital role frogs and other herps play in our interconnected environment.

Part concert, part comic book, part science adventure — The Adventures of Fred the Frog invites young explorers to listen deeply, wonder boldly, and discover how even the smallest creatures shape the health of our planet.
